Picture with me if you will, the world's greatest juggler. For no specific purpose we will call this juggler by the name of Pierre Boyardee the third (not to be confused with the delectable canned soups). We will just say PB3 for short. I prefer to picture my jugglers as short French men with wonderful curled mustaches. Ok so here we are, looking at PB3, the greatest juggler to ever master the art of tossing random objects in the air. PB3 jumps onto his unicycle and begins to demonstrate his impeccable sense of balance, after no time at all he is up and running. His assistant, lil Rodeo, throws the first ball in the direction of PB3. One ball, two ball, three balls, oh my. Ok, so I’m not impressed, I’ve seen this before. Now PB3 steps down to the ground from his brilliant blue unicycle and onto a quickly moving treadmill. Once again lil Rodeo doesn’t miss a beat, accept this time it is flaming swords. Woah, now I’m impressed. One, two, three, oh my, four, five, six, no way, seven flaming swords of death are being flung around in great circles under the control of the great Pierre Boyardee the third. I have never seen such a feat.
Not so different from the magnificent feat of Pierre Boyardee the third is our everyday lives. We seem to be so overwhelmed, even to the point of collapse. We take on work, school, family, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, hobbies, church. No wonder we eat so much fast food, we are running a million miles a second! One cannot help but ask, has it always been this way? Is it supposed to be this way? Maybe you are tired of putting on a show like the great PB3. Maybe you are weary of tossing so many different things in an art of juggling only to seemingly find your peril. Maybe you are hurt from a past relationship or loss. I hope that whatever you are going through you can find rest. I pray that you can find true rest that will satisfy your thirst. Matthew 11:28-30 reminds us that Jesus is the only true place to find rest. Jesus is the only place to hide and be regenerated. Rest your burdens in the Lord for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Welcome
So I came accross this video today by the help of Pollett. Pollett knows the two main guys in the video, I am constantly amazed by his fame. If you are like me, you too are worried that Pollett may be further proving the "six degrees of seperation to Kevin Bacon". Ok, so I may have mispelled Bacon, I guess I can only think about the food verson of bacon as I am always hungry.
So anyway, the video... Well it also contains a friend of Andrea and mine. He has a major role, if you look very closely, you may have to rewind and pause, you will see a guy in the car that gets stuff thrown at him. Yeah, that is Trey Bodin, we know him, get some Pollett.
I love this video because this is a pretty funny look at how we view the process of action and Apology! I hope you can learn something from it!
OK... So I know I have let down my blog followers! I have not posted a new blog since last Christmas, and for that I AM SORRY! I guess I have just been so wrapped up in the birth of our Lord that I was speechless, OK maybe not, maybe I am just awful at this blogging thing.
SO... the last few months have been a whirlwind. I have been privileged to lay privy to many crazy things going on around us. The "New Boston Tea Partys" for instance. Man this stuff is crazy. I have also been privileged to witness the crazy grace and mercy of God. So many people around me are hurting so deeply. I have been able to stand with them in the trenches and fight along side them. Sometimes it is tough to know what to say or what to do in these times, but what is so amazing is the unchanging consistency of God. OK so I know I just said unchanging and consistency, they basically mean the same thing, but I just want to show so clearly that God is steady, God is constant, God is God! We fail, we hurt, we bleed, we experience death at an unbarable rate. God never fails, God is always with us when we hurt, God is always with us when we bleed, God is the definition of life. If your are hurting or suffering at all today, I simply want to encourage you to find comfort at the foot of the cross.
(2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
Man, I cannot believe it is almost Christmas again. I am so excited this year about celebrating the birth of Jesus. It kind of sounds odd to think about a Birthday party for God. The truth is that over 2 thousand years ago God came to earth to dwell among men as a man. How awesome is that, I mean, do you feel that. God (huge) came to earth to dwell with man (teeny, tiny). That is awesome. This Christmas I plan on celebrating the birth of God among men. Think about lighting a candle, wrapping some presents, and singing happy birthday. Happy Birthday Jesus. I mean honestly, we can celebrate the birthday of that random guy at work we hardly even know much less knows us yet we can't celebrate the love of our life. If you are in love with God, celebrate Him.
So I am slightly ashamed to say that my wife and I have a dog and we treat it as our daughter. I mean we don't regularly dress her up in little clothes or anything, but she is pretty spoiled. We refer to her as our "little baby girl", "booger brain", and many more sad titles. We also speak in third person when speaking to her. We say things like... "Momma (my wife) will be home soon" or "Daddy's (me) home!". Ok so I know what you're thinking...What a loser! And you're probably a little right. I like to think of it as nurturing.
Even though we love our dog as a human with great exageration she still ticks me off sometimes. I mean seriously, could she learn from her mistakes once in a while? She keeps doing the same three things over and over. She digs in the yard, she jumps on the counter, and she steals my wife's underwear! Come on already, I have said "NO!" like a trillion times!!! I just want to give up sometimes!
Have you ever sat back and realized that we are like persistant little dogs. We serve a great master yet we keep screwing up. This has been a problem since Adam and Eve in the garden yet we just can quit. The problem is that we inadvertantly choose like three little sins and we just keep doing them over, and over, and over, and over...well you get the idea. For example (sorry to call you out a little): pornography, alchoholism, drugs, pre-marital sex, consistant anger at the same people, lying, cheating, cussing,....... Please add your sin addiction here _________________! We all do it in some way, big or small, we all anger and frustrate God some times. God has got to get so frustrated with us sometimes that we never learn from our mistakes. God is our master, he is infinate and huge, yet loving, forgiving, and gracious. We don't deserve his grace.
It is time for us as "Christians" to stop hiding behind the title of "Christianity" and start living as bold, called followers of "The Way" (Jesus Christ) Run as far away from your addictions as possible, seek help from wise counsel. In doing this we will get closer to once again standing as the early church did, unashamed and brightly for the cause of Christ. Live boldly for your savior.
Luke 11:33-36
33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in the cellar or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see its light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light. But when it is bad, your body is also full of darkness. 35 Take care then, that the light in you is not darkness. 36 If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, the whole body will be full of light, as when a lamp shines its light on you."
Luke 8:16-18
16 "No one, after lighting a lamp, covers it with a basket or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light. 17 For nothing is concealed that won't be revealed, and nothing hidden that won't be made known and come to light. 18 Therefore, take care how you listen. For whoever has, more will be given to him; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him."
